Arrival for the 6 days of Kilimanjaro hiking via the Marangu route

On this day, our driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. While at the hotel, you will meet a tour guide who will give you a briefing about the 6-day Kilimanjaro hiking tour. Also, you will have space and time to prepare and set up your climbing equipment. So, later, you will rest to prepare for the 6-day Marangu route tour.

Day 1: Marangu gate to Mandara hut

This day is the beginning of the 6-day Kilimanjaro climbing tour, where our driver will take you to Marangu Gate. After registration at the gate, the journey will begin with your crew heading towards Mandara Hut. It is a journey of 8 kilometers to reach Mandara, where it takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the walking speed.

Day 2: Mandara hut to Horombo hut

The second day of your 6-day Marangu route tour starts in the morning in Mandara where after having breakfast, the journey will start towards Horombo Hut. So, from Mandara to Horombo, it is a distance of 12 kilometers and takes 5 to 7 hours depending on the pace the climber uses.

Day 3: Horombo hut full-day acclimatization

Day 4: Horombo hut to Kibo hut

Day 5: Kibo hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo hut
